Boyish, biker and tartan looks... Elora presents all the "must-haves" for this autumn
While summer was resolutely bohemian, this autumn will be all about boyish and biker styles. Men's dressing room items such as ties, dinner jacket jackets and shirts have never been so fashionable.
Floppy hats and biker-style jackets are also essential wardrobe accessories for coping with the cooler weather as it sets in again, and looking stylish in the process.
The bold tartan look, with chunky woollen jumpers, jackets with shearling collars, fringed ponchos and checked patterns, is a must-have! Men can also adopt this trend by choosing plaid scarves. Scottish-style fashion pieces have the advantage of being easy to combine with all styles and all types of clothing. For example, you could wear a checked scarf with a suit jacket, or pair a shearling-collared jacket with coated jeans.
Colours, patterns and details: what's in store for autumn
The autumn 2020 ready-to-wear collection is sure to delight everyone, with its wide range of colours, patterns and details. Several universes blend together with a single guiding principle: to be stylish for the return of the colder days.
Black, natural tones and electric hues make their way into our autumn wardrobes
Black is a timeless wardrobe staple for every season, whether you're a woman or a man. It's perfect for all kinds of styles, from biker looks to chic eveningwear and working women. It can be worn in plain colours, textures (leather, coating, velvet, etc.) or patterns such as the checks that are very much in vogue this autumn.
The nude colour palette and natural tones are also very much in evidence in the autumn collections. So go for beiges, pinks, sands, creams and earth tones. These colours are easy to combine with each other or even with black, so you'll be sure to avoid any fashion faux pas. For example, wear a pale pink jumper with sienna jeans or a fringed cream poncho with black and white trousers.
Finally, you can dare to use colour to liven up your autumn wardrobe. Red and blue are very much in vogue this summer, but in bright colours. Bright red, electric blue... there are plenty of options, and these vibrant colours work wonderfully with black pieces. A great mix of sobriety and sparkle!
Checks, animal prints, flowers and glitters are all in vogue this season
Patterns remain plentiful this season, but are changing completely. We're saying goodbye to tropical and ethnic prints and bringing out checks for a tartan look, animal prints for a deliciously wild touch, glitters for glittery outfits and faux animal skins for a classier look.
Latex-like oiled-effect fabrics also invaded the catwalks this year. At Elora, we're making it accessible without overdoing it by playing up the vinyl in dashes. You'll find it on one of our skirts, on a trendy perfecto and in our accessories collection.
As in every season, florals are as timeless as black. They lend themselves extremely well to flowing blouses and dresses, adding a delicate, romantic touch to outfits that were originally very classic.
Balloon sleeves, long black coats, fringes... all the details we're crazy about this autumn
Fringes are back on the catwalk this season! At Elora, we've got fringed pieces to wear for every occasion. Large black coats are also invading the collections of fashion houses. Our designers have made this trend their own by creating a long, black trench coat, perfect for the return of grey skies.
Finally, arms have never been so much in evidence as in the autumn 2020 collections. Structure your silhouette by opting for puffed or balloon sleeves. Dresses, shirts, coats... don't hesitate to try out this trend with Elora pieces.
Knitwear, the essential fabric for autumn
Nobody can imagine an autumn or winter without a knitted jumper. Driven by the craze for natural and recycled materials, knitwear has become a staple in both men's and women's collections. And they're not about to go out of fashion!
Knitwear is easy to wear and still very comfortable: a jumper tucked into jeans, a soft cardigan over a T-shirt, a jumper dress for evenings out or days at the office... the choice is yours.
