Use of eco-responsible materials

Elora is one of the pioneering brands in the research and use of eco-responsible materials. Since 2019, we have been able to maintain collections made from at least 80% eco-responsible materials, and are aiming for 100% by 2025.

More responsible jeans production

The production of jeans is particularly polluting, with each piece manufactured requiring an average of 10,000 litres of water, as well as numerous chemicals that are polluting and dangerous to health.

The Environmental Impact Measurement (EIM) score, developed by the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) to measure the environmental impact of textile products, makes it possible to assess the environmental impact throughout a product's life cycle. The EIM score takes into account various criteria such as water consumption, use of chemicals, greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity, etc.

Over 80% of our jeans have a green EIM score (between 0 and 33), to demonstrate their reduced impact on the environment.

Compliance with Reach standards

Elora is committed to complying with European REACH standards in order to protect the health of its employees and customers and to respect the environment.
To guarantee that its products comply with these standards, Elora works with suppliers who meet precise specifications.

Elora has also implemented quality control procedures throughout the supply chain to ensure that the chemicals used in production comply with REACH standards

In addition, Elora works with independent laboratories to regularly test its products and ensure that they meet the strictest safety and quality standards.

Eliminating Mohair

In order to combat animal suffering and in agreement with PETA (a non-profit organisation that defends animal rights), we have decided to stop using Mohair.
